There is a clip that hold the handle to the shaft. It almost looks like a c-clip but is a little different shape. They make a tool specifically for it but you can usually get away with using a set of needle nose pliers.
Take a look down in between the door panel and handle and you should see...
I'm %100 percent positve that you can install a single DIN radio in your 1.5 DIN slot in your GP. Metra makes an install kit for it, it's like $20 bucks. The kit even comes with like 3 center section pieces so you can choose how much the radio sticks out. PROOF!
EDIT I was just able to...
I just picked up a new (to me) car today and I'm very excited about it. It's a 91 Mitsubishi Galant VR-4. For those of you that don't know what that is, it's a limited edition model that was made just so they could get the car into international rally. They were built in Japan and shipped to the...
I would also do the T-56 over the plain T-5. First I don't even know if a T-5 would bolt up to a LS motor, second you'd blow the thing in about 5 seconds. My friends stupid 5.0 Stang rips those things apart and it's slow as poop.
Yes 4 1/2" = 114.3 mm but I have an older Talon which takes the 114.3 and a new Grand Prix which I guess is 115 and I have a set of rims that I have used on both cars, on the GP right now, and they work perfectly fine. They actually ride smoother than the stockers. Just like 4 3/4 is like 120.65...
I wish people would stop thinking that a deck could have anywhere near 50 watts per channel. If you would ever actually look in the owners manual under the specs section you'd see that most decks are in the 7-13 watt range and even then that's sometimes at a rediculously high THD like 1%.
The...
Yeah I believe this has been covered once or twice. The search button is your friend.
Also try using 1st grade grammer and using capitilization on your "I"s.
Intercooling is not a must, it just helps you run more boost without detonation. So it's pretty much up to you whether is worth the time/money for you to run one.
If you wanted too you could have a twin turbo setup and never run any boost at all, even with the pedal to the metal.
That post makes me a little more confident in your ability as well. Puncuation and grammer in a post make it much more enjoyable to read and respond too.
That is a completely false statment. The best turbo motors around are diesel engines and last time I checked they only revved to 2500-3000 RPM. When a turbo spools up is completely dependent on the motor size and A/R ratio.
Again this is a little off skew. What you want to look for are two...
Stock GN turbo's are t3's. All that the t3 denotes is the exhaust housing style. A t4/t3 hybrid like all the Honda guys yap about is just a t4 exhaust housing with a t3 center section and compressor housing. The newest rave from Garrett now is their GTxx line ranging from I think 12 to 45? with...
If you want basically everything you'll need to know about setting up your blow-through carb set-up go to your local Barnes&Noble and read the chapter on it in Corky Bell's Maximum Boost.
I have said book and it covers every aspect of turbocharging from designing to components to building...
I never said if he should go one way or the other. I was just clearing up the confusion as to which makes more power.
And my suggestion for his build up is to not even touch the motor and just run as much boost as possible for his application. His max safe boost level is going to depend on...
