i got a salon just like that, that car is beautiful man. makes me want to paint mine black 8). but i think i am going to get it re sprayed in frost beige, because the car came factory in that color and its pretty rare from what ive heard.
alright update. i gave up on the 307 because an sbc came along, but im thinking about rebuilding it and putting a junkyard turbo setup on it. :mrgreen:
street/strip. its got 4.56's 200r4 and a mild 327 going in. (still has 307 right now) but i drive it to work and school every day. and it gets driven to the track which is 100 miles away.... im looking for high 12's on motor daily driven. maybe mid 11's on spray. :shock: :bump:
also make sure the secondary air door is tight!! big problem with my car at first. for my experience with my 307 they like ALOT and i mean ALOT of advance. so advance it till it pings and back it off a degree or two.
i went there the other day to have my tail pipes put on and he wanted 150.00 :shock: and he also said because it is an 86 he will not set it up without a cat. :blam:
okay, thanks. and my 327 is a large journal 350 block with a 327 crank. the block is .030 over (331) and has 10.5:1 flat top pistons. it has a flat tappet edelbrock torker plus camshaft with 1.6 ratio rockers and fuelie heads. i have an edelbrock performer intake manifold with a rochester...

actually subarus are almost exclusively 4 bangers. they are all boxer 4's they make one 6 cyl engine...
thank you on the compliments and advise, but i have already thought these things out. the motor is also built and ready to go in. and the reason i need the y-pipe is the differences in olds and chevy manifolds. true duals would be awesome because headers would be better with the combo i have...
well im going to take the cat out. and its a decently built motor, and this is just a right now fix. because im taking a week off of work to do the swap, and it has to be done before aug. 30th because thats when i start school.
