What's up everyone, I just took my rear end cover off to replace the fluid and put on a new cover and I was trying to find out what type of rear end it is I know it's a posi but I don't know if it's a certain type or if all of them are the same for a 7.5 Thanks

Would I be able to swap this in my non posi unit?

Yes, as long as you have 3.08 or lower gears OR aftermarket 3.23 and up "Thick" gears designed for a 2 series carrier.
You would also need 28 spline axles. 8.5 Grand National, 442 axles will work but there are many aftermarket company's that have them.
I purchased KA 28 spline axles from Toms Differentials.

You’ll need to shorten the diff ends of the GN axle shafts about 0.080” to fit the C-clip feature in the diff. And the GN axles take 8.5” axle C-clips which have a larger internal diameter but the same 7.5” axles’ outer diameter in the diff C-clip feature.
