I tried the search but couldnt find anyone running this combo. On all my cars, i run the 15x6 draglite up front with a 225/70/r15 tire, ive seen a few people run that tire up front, but would a 3.5 backspace be good for a g body? ive never put wheels on one of these cars.

I also have two spare draglites from my camaro, 275/60/r15 with a 15x7 wheel 4.5 backspace, and i read somewhere that the wheel would fit, any ideas on that as well?

Car is a 1984 montecarlo, we picked her up with 33k miles, she now has 45k miles, all original 305 4bbl automatic th250c and not sure what rear, maybe a 2.73 open. Everything's nice but the headliner, and the body panels have been resprayed, so paints not perfect and all matching, but not a bad car none the less. This is my moms car, so i was gonna suprise her with a new set of wheels.

Also, what lugs would an 84 monte have? are they metric? I know my 80 camaro is still American, not sure when they swapped over as my camaro has a mix of metric and American. Heres some pics of my moms car, and one of my camaro just for the fun of it.

'84 lugs are metric.

Do not put a 275 on a 7 inch rim. I've done it, and it wears the center of the tread out about 500 times faster than the rest of the tire. The widest you should go on a 7 inch rim is 255, if you want to run 275, get an 8 inch rim.

rims and tires are already paid for, really should buy another set, but trying to keep cost low. Im running 275/60/r15s on my 79 with factory 80-81z 15x7 n90s. They dont buldge that bad, i think i remember hearing cooper cobras were a slightly smaller tire, this may be why. We tried the 7s on my gold car, but didnt fit right (rims where laying up in the shop from when we bought wheels for my bros 55, so rims were free to me already). Ended up doing 15x8 4.5bs on my gold car.

i think 4.5 inch bs would be too much. i have heard to not go more than 4 inches on backspacing and when i test fitted my soft 8's with no tire i now understand why,
