So today i got the opportunity to buy a 1961 Buick special, 215 Aluminium V8 Dynaflow 2 speed, all orignal and the whole car is there. 70 thousand original miles, with only one previous owner who passed away. The car has been parked and sitting since 1981, but believe it or not it runs......and drives. By that i mean moves, i wouldn't hop on the highway with it or anything. I guess it was parked because the original owner died, and in 1981 nobody wanted to be seen driving this thing? LOL.

Interiors actually nice, i was surprised.
Anyways, the guys asking 250$ is it even worth it?

The ONLY reason i would pick this car up is to resell/ part out. I am NOT interested in restoring this relic.

Are thees cars sought after? I jumped online and could barley even find parts....

Those are cool little cars. I almost bought a '62 Special from my neighbor years ago. It was a 2-dr hardtop with the 215 engine. It needed some body work, but was all there and pretty clean. I think he only wanted $300. for it at the time.

Is this car a 2-dr coupe or HT? Could you post a pic of it?

For $250! Jump on it! Resell it for $1000

They look like a shrunk down version of the big Buick LeSabre, or Wildcat. I always thought those cars uber cool .
I think it would be a smokin' car with a nice set of wheels and tires.

Arg, i just typed all this sh*t up twice now and my PC kept ****ing up so here's the short version.

My little brother exaggerated/ left out some details on this car. NO pics, not worth taking a picture of.

The fenders rusted out from the top down, thats a first for me. Hood rusted out, broke trying to reclose it. Frames bad and the cars wheels are sitting 3" into the dirt.

I can see through the floor in a few spots and i didn't even open the door.

The interior is shot, don't know why he said it wasn't.

The guy bought the car in 1984, it sat since. He told me it was rusted out back in 84. That should give you guys a pretty good idea here lol.

However ,i talked him into letting me pull that aluminium 215! 😀
