:?: Define fast.

With the tires i got on it, it got 15 something on the track but it spun all the way down. I'm scared to lock it because It's just a 7.5". If you had lockers and some slicks i would see it Low 12's, high 11's or better.

Thanks. Do you remember the mph as 15.1s to 15.9s is a pretty good spread. I don't know that most people on this board would define 15s as fast but its certainly not slow.

lol, my taurus runs 15s

i do not see your set up 'spinning all the way down the track' and 15's down to 11's is a HUUUUUGE jump

well im not a huge car guy and dont know a ton about i bought this el camino from my brother and thats what im saying it has NO traction what so ever, spun all the way down the track and it was my first time running EVER going down the track and it straight spun ALL the way down the track and i remember it was 15.4 im not trying to say i know alot about it but i know if you got some traction back there it would be well over a 3 second difference or more

Trade your slicks for some old BFG's and see what happens. All I'm saying is if it would have stuck rather than spun it would have been a hell of a lot quicker. This car is a beast and if it wasn't a one wheel peel the whole length of the 1/4 it would shave a couple seconds.

I don't doubt your statements are made in good faith. A drag racer knows you are not loseing 3 seconds to tire slip that said I believe it to be just a misunderstanding of ETs which is why I asked your mph as its much better for determining power. I wish you well with your sale. If you keep it and want to make it hook better start with relatively inexpensive lower control arms and an air bag in the passenger side rear spring.
