I saw a decent looking 78 malibu. It has a inline 6 cylinder and I have a nice chevy 350 for it. I know I'd have to change springs, motor mounts and the radiator shroud and radiator. What else needs to be changed (on the car)? Is this a complicated swap? Let me know ASAP guys, I'm going to make an offer on the car tomorrow. Thanks for all your help. 😀

An inline 6? Never saw one in a G body before! Are you sure it wasn't a V6? Or perhaps a Nova?

(BTW, the swap is not hard to do. No cutting or welding needed, just bolting stuff together.)

I've seen the I-6 in a Mexican Malibu... There's a member on here who has one.

If you're at all mechanically inclined, the swap is not hard at all.

I"m 90% sure it said inline 6 on the for sale sign. I've done changed out the engine in my truck and I have lots of tools and all that fun stuff so I'm set. I just wasn't sure if it was a pain because the engine is different than what I want to swap in. I'm leaving shortly to check the frame rails and the rest of the car out. Thanks. for the quick responses guys. 😀
