hello!
i had some bad chances on the tollway recently and one of my steering tierods popped out so i had to replace it, i then procceeded to replace the other, after of course, my car was towed home.
we had the car sitting here on jacks for about 3 or 4 days, so the engine was tilted on an angle for that long, if it makes any effect.
car has been running great for quite a while .. until now
after fixing the steering tie rods i fire the car up.
t runs in a semi rough way, but i immediately noticed it since i hear the car idle every day.

rev the engine and it stay revving just fine. as soon as i let off the throttle the engine continues to decellerate, but instead of stopping at idle speed, it keeps decreasing in throttle and stalls.
when the throttle gets low you can give it more gas and it will rev just fine.
if i keep it at a low RPM, via my foot on the gas, the car stays running.
but letting it come down itself from a rev it will just stall out.

i replaced the entire carb less than a year ago. its a holley remanufactured 2 barrel rochester.
bought a carb rebuilt kit at autzone ... which didnt even have that many parts. and replace the accelerator pump.
no help.
please help 🙂

Check if some varmint might have crawled into the air intake...sounds like you're getting less air, which at idle would be critical.

i know it shouldn't have changed from sitting but double check your fast idle cam, choke, and idle speed settings.
also check for a vacuum leak.

i had same prob.....

i was broke and put in super unleaded

whoa whoa bad idea

had to keep foot on gas to keep runnin

i drained tank

put in straight unleaded no prob

could be crap in tank or bad gas

my gues
