I am replacing the 305 in my son's 1978 Malibu Classic Wagon with a 350. The original worn-out springs are going to be replaced as I am completely rebuilding the front end.

He would like to lower the front end about 1 inch. Which springs would you recommend that would lower front end but not make it a stiff ride? I see that S-10 springs are recommended, but would like to have a Part # if possible. This will be a cruiser as he'll be driving it between Chicago and the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. It has a 700R4. I put a rear sway bar on it and will be using Polyurethane bushing for the front sway bar and the sway bar end links. For ride quality no poly in the A-arms.

Thanks in advance,

I read that Moog spring part number 5658 will drop your car bout a inch. I am still trying to research it though. I called Autozone and they gave me a 60$ quote but i can't remember if it's the pair or single...Anybody correct me if i am wrong???? Anybody running a alternative to aftermarket big$$ money suspension kit?
