1979 Olds Cutlass Supreme Rebirth

Came to my parents house to say goodbye before I leave for a business trip to Kelso, Washington so I decided to spend some quality time with my Dad and get the Cutlass started after sitting around for the past year or so...

Had my dad charge the battery, filled the carb up with gas and it fired right up, albeit a little rough at first but it has old gas. It was dusty in the engine bay cleaned it up just a little..
Interior was pretty dusty too do just blew all the crap out with compressed air.

It needs a little tlc but it runs great now, drove it around the block a couple times. Needs the harness for the headlight switch repaired and I need to fix the power windows other than that it's pretty solid.

Gonna try to start saving some money to get it painted by next year. Gonna go win the original color maybe with some metallic in it. The front sits a little high so gonna need to replace the springs, it has f41 suspension but it still could benefit from some upgrades, which right now, everything is completely stock. I'll be posting more pictures as I go along. First order of business is to replace the intake, mine isn't smog legal there's no egr, so I have to put an EGR intake before I get it smogged again and back on the road.

What motor is in it?

It's just a stock 305 with an edelbrock carb and intake. Nothing special haha I really want to swap in an olds 350 and make a kinda-clone W-30, but we will see. If I can score an olds 350 block that would be awesome, I cannot find any olds 350 blocks in so cal for anything!!

Older intake? I've never seen an edelbrock intake without egr provisions

Edelbrock makes two Spread bore intakes, PN: 3701 (EGR) and 2101 (no EGR), i intially put this one on because i thought removing the EGR wold give it a little more performance, but it didn't, i have both style intakes. And engine is an engine, in my eyes, so i'm not picky. I do prefer Chevy Engines, just because that's i have most experience with, but i really want to do a rocket 350 swap, once i get my hands on an olds block.
