Hui, "I'm a newbie here" ...

I wondered if there were others with 1980 Regals (or 78-79's). I'm in a restoration process and most times it seems as tho I'm all alone ! *Trying to find parts isn't easy but still possible.

Anyway, I'd LOVE to hear from others, (and some pictures would be an inspiration) ! 😀

Thanks for reading.

Welcome, but i hate to break it to you but all of the 3rd generation A/G bodies are harder to find parts for, nearly anything body wise in not interchangeable with the 4th gen but alot of the interior parts are interchangeable with the 4th gen's.

Hell i remember before the internet got cheap and accessible that i looked for 5 years to find a good set of front park lamps for my 78 Monte

you are by no means alone:

i have an 80 limited but i must say we are one of the harder regals to find, i dont care what anyone says. the 80 was a 1 year only car. fenders can come off a 78-79 but you have to cut the sheet metal to install marker lenses. front bumper is diff as is the header panel. the rest of the car swaps the same.

contact crazy'boutOlds. he knows where an 80 and a 79 are. i just bought all the lower body molding off one from him. great guy to deal with.

also contact 81regal. he has access to an 80. i bought alot of trim and the front bumper off that one.

Now we need to see some pics

Where are you located? I seen quite a few of those in a junkyard called Rich's Auto Sales in Port Clinton (Ohio) yesterday. Its about a 50 minute drive for me so I cant go whenever I want but you should check it out if your close. I recall seeing a couple cars with that front end but the trees made it impossible to get to them.

D.J.: WOW !! "God I'd LOVE to see that car" !! Man o man you knocked the wind outa me seeing this !!

My God, even the bumper fillers are still intact ! I need moldings, chrome pieces, and esp. (yours doesn't have this) a "3.8 Litre Turbo" hood badge. How are the head-lite bezels in the front? (mine are faded).

THANK-YOU for taking the time posting this !!

I love these pick and pull yards that have cars balancing on old rims. One slip on a customer and insurance would go through the roof!
Only thing they make you sign a waver before you enter no one reads that states that very thing happens you sh*t outta luck.
