I have an older friend that insists he has got a solenoid switch mounted on top of his 307 engine, positioned next to some sort of vacuum diaphram, that gets him 3 to 4 more miles per gallon on the highway with his 3-speed transmission.

I have never heard of such a thing? Can anyone shead some light on this for me?

I had bad info... now i'm being told they're looking for the CLUTCH CONVERTER ACTUATOR VALVE... I'm being told the p/n is 25523376... any idea where to find one of those?
