Hey guys, names jared, so here's the story. A year or two ago I saw a malibu wagon sitting at the park, I fell in love with the g body look. Mid deployment of this last year I bought my 82 wagon off eBay site unseen from upstate new york. I bought it in September and just returned home in december. That being said I've spent the last month going over the whole wagon, there is rot, though not as bad as I expected, will have to replace one floor board, other than that just rust in typical places.

The wagon has a 350/350 combo motor runs strong, definitely on the rich side, brakes are terrible more on that later, and the Trans leaks fluid like a siv. The previous owner took the stock front end off and slapped on, rather badly a 88 euro front end. Tracking down grills and bezels for that has been a nightmare, and finding a 4 door cutlass to rob parts from has been challenging. I'm in need of a new plastics for my steering column, and rear door panels, if anyone has a lead on that. I'm at an odd point I'm getting ready to move down to Florida here in the coming months, and want to have her semi road worthy.

So things I need if anyone has them wiring diagrams, for just about everything windshield wipers, and headlights. Or if someone can suggest a shop manual I can pick up.

Still working on the posting photos but there will be plenty in the future.

Welcome! We have very active wagon owning members that will usually chime in.

The Haynes manual is also decent for more general stuff.

As far as parts go, many are interchangeable across all G bodies but wagons have certain specific parts.

Welcome aboard Jr.
Where are you located now, and where in Florida are you moving to?
A lot of good information and good helpful people.
We have an active G-body community...and many active wagon owners as well.

I'm located up in Norfolk Va and will be heading down to pensacola, not to sound weird but I've read a lot of your posts longroof, had a 9 month deployment and spent a lot of nights reading through other people's builds.

Thanks for the link on the wiring, going to attempt to make some head way on the head lights and wipers tomorrow. The cat who did the motor swap didn't wire anything back in... So I also have to sort out my Speedo and such.

Hey Jared,
Looks like a nice wagon. So you would like to replace the euro style header panel back to the original single or dual headlamp unit... or just try to make the euro style unit work?
There was a 4-dr Cutlass in my local yard, but that was over a month ago. I do plan on going back soon. I'll see if it's still there, or something similar.

I assume you'll be stationed in Pensacola. Pensacola is still a pretty good distance away from me.

Hey jared, i have the complete wiper setup that i pulled off my 87 cutlass years ago and the setup is currently sitting in storage. Motor, linkage and arms. Motor worked when i pulled it, but havent bench tested it. Pm me if interested.
Thanks,
Scott.

Welcome Jared. As others have pointed out, there are a lot of wagon owners here, that can help. I've never seen just the Euro nose mounted on the wagon front fenders like that. I thought that you have to try to use the 2 door Cutlass front fenders as well. Looks like using just the nose piece might work out well. Keep us updated with your progress. I'd like to see how it works out.

So what I can deduce on the front end is, they took a portion of the old header panel and fiberglass ed it onto the euro front clip to make it work. That being said, it just doesn't fit perfectly. The fiberglass job was poorly done, so I would like to go back to the original 4 head lights. I have the old header panel in the wagon sans the large piece that was cut to mold the new panel.

Scott I am gonna hot wire the motor tomorrow, just to see if I can get it to actuate, my theory is the controller is shot, just put one on order from rock auto.

I have no issue driving for parts, if they are in decent shape I'd happily make the trip. This will be my second round in Pensacola and my last in the military, I have family down in the Gainesville area though so let me know if you find something.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys!

Jared

Jared,
I will definitely keep on the lookout for you. It's too bad the previous owner had to hack up the original header panel. He had a good idea, but wasn't executed properly.

So you have family in the Gainesville area...cool! Don't discount finding something in the Pensacola area. Give this site a try as well. http://car-part.com/

Good to have you aboard, and thank you for your service.
