ok bro this is first what you need to do. Add a little gas into the carb and try starting the car if it starts up it means you not getting gas from the pump that is located on the lower right hand side of the motor. unbolt the gas line going to the carb from the mechanical pump and trying starting and see if you getting gas comming out of the gas line... If you getting gas into the carb then you need to check and see if you getting spark(unplug a plug wire and autozone sell a spark plug tester with easy instructions. pm me and I will send you my phone number I had this problem several months ago.
Anyway if you getting gas and sparks you then need to check and make sure your firing order is correct if all that is correct then you need to see if your timing chain has broke.

My money is on a crappy rebuild. There's no telling what sort of butchery is going on inside of that carb. Most 'reman' carbs are junk. Case in point, your car ran with the old carb and now won't with the new one.
If you feel comfortable about opening your carb up, I would do so and check everything inside.
