So I have been lurking for a long time and have found some valuable information. So thanks to all the members.

I have a 87 v6 that I will be swapping for a 307 v8 from a 87. should be a pretty easy swap my question comes to the wiring harness. is there a difference in the bulk head connector? do we even need to swap the harness or no? both have ac as well.

I know there is a few things that must be swapped and the guy im swapping with wants a v6 so he is taking everything from my car. Heres what im pretty sure we have to swap but im not certain.

drive shaft,
cross member,
exhaust,
trans,
engine,
computer,
fan shroud,
radiator,
and harness

also I was thinking of trying to get his rear end but not sure how to tell the difference?

if anyone can verify this that would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Rear end is same. That's a whole lotta work for little gain though.

im not saying what or what not you should do but i certainly agree its not worth the work for an extra 40 HP maybe, your gain a little HP to make your gas mileage that much worse. if you going to make the sacrifice, i'd look for a better powerplant
