On my brothers 1988 Camaro with the 305 tpi we just replaced the alternator and the car still won't start. It has a slow crank issue. Any help would be great thanks.

How is replacing an alternator supposed to help a car start? Am I missing something?

Check your cables and terminal connections first. Does it crank faster if you are jumping it with another car?

How about making sure the battery is fully charged. Have the battery tested then to make sure it is good. If it's bad replace it. If it's good check all battery cable connections. If they are in good order and you still have a slow cranking issue, I'd pull the starter and have it checked just to make sure it is or isn't the culprit.

if the battery and the connections are fine, than it could be the solenoid on the starter. It could be burnt up which would cause slow cranks
