20 inch tire size on 80 Malibu

I am getting some 20 x 8 rims for my 80 Malibu and I am needing some help getting the right tire size. My Malibu has stock suspension, stock brakes, etc, etc. I want to make sure the rims or tires won't rub when I turn or when the car bounces. Any help would be appreciated. If you have pictures that would be even better. :|

do u know the backspacing? here study this, http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp. on the left fill in the factory wheel, tire size. then on the right fill in the wheel,tire size u wanting. ET is offset, backspacing. then scroll down you see clearance options. some cars are different, this is just a guide, actual results will vary.

Take the wheel off and lay something flat across it. Then measure how deep it is to find the backspacing of your current rim
