I haven't seen this before so just figured I'd post about it. Trans is a BQ from a T-type and I was installing a B&M lock-up kit. I go to plug in the 4 pin connector to the plug on the trans and the side with the clip doesn't fit into the side with the tang. Flip it over 180 degrees with the clip opposite of the tang and it fits right. What I'm trying to figure out is if the B&M connector was made wrong, if there's a difference between the 4 pin plugs between 2004-R/700-R4 or if there's any other explanation. The slots in the pin sockets only fit one way but it looks like the clip is on the wrong side.
Now here's the kicker. I figure no big deal, move the pins to the correct A and D sockets then it will work. Wrong! The pin D socket is molded without a pin hole. It's no big deal to drill it, but it's one of those WTF things. Now I'm wondering if the pin layout in the trans is correct. 12v to the wrong pin will damage the lock-up solenoid.
