thanks for the help with my engine codes new distributer runs great no engine light.my next question i have 200r4 trans with gn govenor the car doesnt shift at wide open throttle i have to let off gas pedal to shift.tv cable is adjusted according to post on this forum.i pressed the cable button and pushed cable all the way in ,i then floored gas pedal and the cable move out is this correct? why doesnt the car shift thank for help.

first, are you sure that when the pedal is on the floor, the carb is actually at full throttle?
what kind of carb?

I'm fortunate enough to live near one of the few 2004r gurus and from what I remember him saying, you can have this sort of problem when putting in a governor from a different transmission. So perhaps your GN governor just doesn't get along with your non GN valve body.

With that being said, I never was able to adjust my TV cable using the 'correct' method. On my car, the TV cable simply refuses to 'rachet out'. Is yours racheting out like it's supposed to or 'staying in' and not coming out at all? How many ridges/clicks do you have showing on the cable?

The trans was rebuilt when i changed fluid and filter and noticed yellow governor i changed it to the green that came out of my old trans.also the cable does ratchet out .it's probably what you said about valve body . Anyway happy to have my baby back on the road .thanks for info .
