200r4 transmission dipstick

Were there different lengths used between the 1981 Introduction of this transmission up to its end in G-bodies? My car is a 200r4 diesel, 1984. (The one in my Signature). I am wondering if one from a Pontiac Bonneville with a Th350 I'm guessing... will work?

They are different lengths. It will fit but won't read correctly. I bought the universal locking replacement. It needed cut vs the TH350 length.

You can run any dipstick you want,the idea is that you have to calibrate the full mark to the bottom of the case where the pan lands.

Factory would be nice. I see they don't make new ones. :| Figures.

Mines sits up super high (The tube) and it's tucked in between the engine valve cover and Injector lines.

Diesel or gas uses the same junk on G-body 200-4R as far as tube and stick. I think they used the same tube from 83-89, changing in 1990 on the B body.
