No cage, just notched and mini tubbed.
Here's a hinge brace I made, just a thought if your keeping the factory hinge set-up.
Nice work. Keep the post and pics coming.

I wanted to run this same sized tire (numerically) in the a drag radial but life interrupted. I have seen it done with the drag radial which I think is actually a little smaller as far as the section width with only a frame notch and no tub. It did also have air bags & fender lip rolling but it was in there. Should look & hook when you are done. I also ran some 255/70/15 for a while which were also 29" tall and I found it needs a taller 215/70 or 225/70 with it to look right. Nice job BTW. 8)

thanks alot. like you said the 295 (30" tall) will fit with a stock tub, but you'll never get it any lower than stock. i have a pretty heavy notch and wound up losing the lip and actually cutting the leading edge of the wheel opening out further to get the room needed to really tuck the tire. A lot more work than i expected, but it will be worth it. was kinda skeptical about a 275 radial on the street with a 300 shot...... i think this tire will work, but will definitely take some chassis tuning!
