3.8 carburated v6 and headers

Does anyone have headers on a buick/olds 3.8 carb motor? my manifolds tick bad and i kind of want to try these headers i found on ebay for $200. Will if affect the way it runs because the weird setup from the manifolds i would just cut all orig exhaust and cat and run straights with a set of nice mufflers. What do ya think?

its not an engine tick cuz when it idles it runs beautiful and quiet as well as when your cruising highway speed not mashing on the gas, its either the manifold gaskets or a cracked manifold deffinant passenger side. i dont want to replace the gaskets it'd be a pain in the *ss, my buddy has a lift id rather just go with headers.

if it has a computer, the original manifolds have an oxygen sensor in one of them i believe, so you would need to account for that

the car is an 81 im not sure what year the engine is id imagine 80-83?
