i know i asked this before, but i am just making things clear before i purchase.

i am going to get the flowmaster 80 series 2.5" (in and out) muffler for my 83 cutty. this is for all of you guys who already have one on your car. what other parts did you have to buy or what other mods did you have to do as far as mounting and stuff, also is there a kit that takes the two outlets straight back out the bumper, or is that custom fab. stuff. if so how much would it cost? also what did you guys do to go from 2.25" to 2.5"?

i know making a v6 sound good is "pointless", but i am on a budget and can't afford a v8 or the gas for it, so that is out of the question.

any help is appreciated besides "should've had a v8!" comments. 😀
(every time i see a v8 drink commercial, i think of the kids with a fart can on a civic getting smoked by a musclecar 😀 )

nobody has done this before?

does anyone even know if it will work?? :?

....

idk but i saw somebody at my school with a gray cutlass with a 3.8 and dual exhaust with straight back dual, idk whether it was true dual the whole way or what but it seemed to help the performance a little

this is how i did mine. i have the 3.8 also! but i have headers too. this was my first exhaust i ever made my self.... its a little rigged, but it works.

-i got flex hose coming from both headers
-I had to heat up and beat a indention on the drivers side for clearance of the pipe.
- then i welded the mufflers to the cross memebers (for clearance, my car sits really low to the ground, so i need all the room i can get)

sounds good, no v8 thou! i have turbo thrush mufflers that u can get at advance auto parts for $20. but it works
