is there a fuely top end i could put on my 3.8 malibu v6?

my motor has less then 50,000 on it. but i really wouldnt mind tbi or fuel injection all together

ive heard of 3400 swaps and the 3400 supercharged swaps.

any top end swaps do-able

idk... I wonder if any parts of the 3.8 is compatiable with the 3800 series II supercharged motor? just put that whole motor in there? that would be b/a

thats what im thinking ive heard of. and seen video of a 3800 supercharged in a cutlass and running. just weondering what top ends i could put on my 6.

did any cabred 3.8's come with AC?

I will not claim to "know", but I believe the answer is no ... I don't believe the manifold and F/I from the redesigned 3800 series will fit the older 231 ... however the 3800 series is based off the old engine .... I bet the whole thing would bolt in .... leaving you to figure out all the electronics and updating fuel delivery for FI (think injected Monte or turbo Regal for parts) .... that said The T-type/GN Regals did use the same old platform ... so there is a FI/turbo option for the V-6 G-body.

Those are totally different motors, hence why it is called the Series II.

The Series II motors also have a different bellhousing pattern if I recall correctly, so it's not a direct bolt in.

Of course there were carb'd 3.8 cars with A/C, although with the nothing for power they had, a/c dogs them down even more.

Get a series II block from a Camaro or Firebird.

ok from my 5 min. of research, i found that a series two motor will work with a custom drilled 200r4 or with a c5 from a v6 camaro, you will need a custom started and you will have to cut the fender wells to have clearence for the normally side mounted eaton super charger. And no, no parts of the series 2 and series 1 are related, sorry.

Or in this case, series 2 and a carbed 3.8. a series one is completely different than what came stock in the G's. series one came out in like 90 or 91.

I think that someone's replaced the heads and the rest of the top end from a turbo 3.8 with the top end from a series 2. I don't remember all of the details though.
