What can i do to get my motor to perform better? I have a SBC that's been bored over .030 to make it a 355. It runs pretty strong but i know I can get more power out of it. I'm not the person that built the motor so i don't know what kind of cam, pistons & all that other stuff that's in it.

first you need to know about what you have. look over the heads for part numbers so you can ident them. to figure out the cam you'd need a dial gauge to measure the lift and duration. you also need to measure the rocker movement to make sure of the ratio. for the pistons, i don't know how to figure them out with the heads in place. you also need to find the part number of the intake and the carb (if not a q-jet)

Om going to go out there & get the #'s off the heads in tho morning. When i had the heads off this is how the pistons looked with .030 stamped on them.
