I currently own a 1986 regal limited with a 307 5.0L and have a chevy 400 motor with a turbo 350 transmission. What all do I need to be able to swap engines and transmission. Cross member? Motor mounts? And what about the on board computer I have. Will I also be able to keep my digital dash. Also wI'll it fit if it's a big block or small block 400 chevy. I need all the help I can get as I'm new to this. Thanks

You would need the frame mounts and engine mounts for a SBC in a Gbody, you can buy stock or aftermarket and can also get rubber, urethane or solid engine mounts depending on your plans for the car.
The crossmember will have to be modified to properly fit dual exhaust and depending on what trans you have now the mount might have to be modified or moved, you can also buy aftermarket crossmembers that will bolt right in and not need modification.
I believe the digital dash will be in your factory wire harness and separate from the computer harness that is in the passenger kick panel.
As far as big block and small blocks they both fit, the big block has more clearance issues that would need to be addressed and the sbc is a direct swap for a Gbody since many came with 305 sbc..
Also only small blocks came as 400's and the closest size big block came as 396 or 402 which is a .030 over 396, if you question what you have besides the fact that a big block is really big then a simple look at the valve covers will tell you since a sbc has 4 bolts per side holding them and bbc has 7 per side.
I would assume it is a sbc if that trans came with it since I don't think any big blocks came with 350 trans.
