Does the counterweight thats welded on face twards the engine or twards the transmission.

 

[DRIVEN]

The edge of the center (large) hole will be rolled. The rolled edge should point away from the engine. Weight is probably on engine side.

The weight faces the engine.
And depending on the bolt pattern on your converter, most likely helps to get in the way of one of the torque converter bolts.

the plate should only fit one way due to the bolt holes and the dowel pin hole alignment.

Oh no, you can definetly put it on backwards if you're not paying attention to the lip on the center hole, trust me 😳 . :wink:
