442 Cutlass Vin Code

Ive already done the search, but just want to make 100% certain, all the 442 Cutlass' have a 9 in thier VIN, 8th digit...

so if someone bought a supposed 442 hurst cutlass and it does not have a 9 in the VIN, it is not a real 442, but a clone?

You are correct. ALL '83-'84 H/Os and '85-'87 442s have a "9" in the eighth digit of the VIN. No exceptions.
