So, this isn't really a build thread- however, I just started one for my '79 GP in the Grand Prix section. Tune into that build to see my progress. I can't show the build of this car, because the SPEED Channel owns the images of the process, haha. This is the '61 Thunderbird that our crew from Honest Charley Garage built for the show Car Warriors. We thought it would be staged when we got there. But, it was honest-to-goodness 48hrs! It was absolutely brutal. We, the blue team, went against Downs Industries, the red team, from Kalamazoo MI. They built what I thought was the 2nd best car of the season. Yet, we came out victorious in the eyes of the host and judge, Jimmie Shine. We won the car and got to receive it right before SEMA. So, we displayed it there and then brought it home to Chattanooga. All 6 of us killed those two days- pretty proud of our team. Much of what we did to this car was inspired by what I have wanted to do to my Grand Prix for years. So, as I build my GP; you'll see some similarities between them.

Just saw that Hankook Tires advertises on this forum. I'll give a shout-out to them as they are a big sponsor of Car Warriors Season 2. We have Hankooks on our T-Bird. Big, big thanks to them as we had an absolute blast and took home a great car. However, it will only be a matter of time before they have Coker Tire product on them. Sorry- gotta do it!
