4l60 700r4 help please!!!

tearing into the 700r4, and not sure what its called, but where the tv cable comes into the trans, the lever that connects to the tv cable, was opened all the way, and rod was stickin g out in pics, when i twisted it back, it feels really tight.....................

could this be the problem?
got to where all it had was 1st gear, and reverse, no 2nd 3rd, or o/d
check out the pics and let me know asap please,

as u see in bottom pic, the lever was stuck open,and rod was all way out like in pic, like its bent, its real tight and cant get no spring action, could this be the probles?

What year is your trans? I know when they tore into my 700r4 over spring break, they had showed me that the sunshell had flexed outward and left groove marks in the inside of the housing. That could be a possibility as well if your not running the beast sunshell.

What your looking at could probably be another major issue as far as fluid travel and pressure. Sounds like its time to take it to a trans shop and have them look at it.

its a 1991 out of fullsize conversion van original........
it was supposed to be built with the beast, and corvette servo......, let me know if u can tell be pics.....

got it tore down and looks like the band went bad, what cause this?
heres pics of what damage it did to shell.........

no metal, just sludge, im guessing from the band.....

vb lookin good

clutches and steels look good......

the band................

everything else looks good in there, what caused this to happen?
2nd question is...........
wheres best place to get these parts, id prefer B&M......

any help please guys, and thanks alot

Check in the bore where that rod goes, make sure no scores. Then I would throw a level on that rod to see if it is in fact bent. If that is the case and it is bent, that would give you those problems.

There's a lot of updates that should be done. Otherwise if you go cheap you will be pulling again. 3-4 Clutches like to burn up. Do a search to get all the updates to your trans.. Use the number on the trans to find out the updates..

In that last pic you posted, that is the sunshell. I need to see the neck of it to tell you if it is a beast sunshell, as the neck on the beast is reinforce welded around the neck. That sunshell looks pretty scorched and what all is in the bottom of your oil pan? Looks like shavings but that could just be me.
