Well i daily drive my 79 4 door, i love the car and cant bring myself to sell it. The floors need patched as well as other areas. i just finished putting in a 350 last summer. The car is poor in the snow, and with the amount of snow we get around here i really should have a 4x4. My question is, is there a frame i could use to drop my bu body on and drive train in that is 4 wheel? I know im probably going to hear a bunch of crap about this but its either i do this or junk the car to afford a 4x4 vehicle. The bu was my first car and im willing to try and fix the floors and other things if i can get this to work. Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

I've seen a cutlass on a k5 blazer frame, may want to check out the 4wd mid 80s early 90s blazers also. My 2 cents, im sure someone more knowledgeable will chime in soon.

People have used the 80s K5 Blazer frames under El Caminos but I honestly think by time you find a frame with axles and a transfer case good enough to use plus doing the swap you would be further ahead to just buy something else.

I have pics of the Annual Memorial Day mud bogs up in Colebrook, NH... there was a 2 door Malibu bogger up there for quite a few years. Didnt see it last year, but then again, a lot didn't turn out because it was snowing and temps were around freezing.

Here's a picture from 2 years ago and one of my cousin's Helldorado (RIP)... K5'd as well... the rear driveshaft's yoke broke in half about halfway through the run, but my cousin stayed on it and we got through the run, making it into the next round... LOL! We put it on the trailer because if we lost the front, there'd have been no way to safely get it onto the trailer again.
