im going to get a set of 65 olds 442 heads and a bunch of 400 and 455 parts dirt cheap and i wanted to know if anyone knows what casting the heads could be, also will they work on my 455? thanks

The heads should work fine unless thier 425 nontoro heads in which case theyd have the odd lifter bamk angle and in 65 they only had the 400/425 the casting letters you'll have to look at when you have them and if you have an extra set of heads let me know I'll take a set off your hands

you have a stroked olds motor? ^^

All 1965 big block Olds heads were the "A" casting heads. These are one-year-only and use 3/8" rocker studs instead of the normal 5/16" bolts. This makes the stock rockers oddball but also makes it easy to install roller rockers.
