69 Pontiac 350 coolant temp sending unit location?

there's no spot on the intake like the Olds engines I have. I see a spot on the driver's side cylinder head plugged off. Is this were it would go? I'm gooing to be running aftermarket gauges but I'm not sure were to put the sending unit. Any and all help appreciated. TIA.

Yup, there is a location on the driver side head, just ahead of the center exhaust ports. That`s where it goes. At least according to my 78 shop manual, I assume it`s the same for a 69 since the castings are basically the same.
