Right now I have 7.5” with 3:42's. I just ordered a differential support cover to start. And I am going to upgrade to 28-Spline axles. wile I am in the junkyard looking for LS1 rear disk brakes I am going to look for a 28-Spline posi.
will my 3:42's bolt up to the new 7.625” carrier?

My understanding is that your 7.5 3.42 will fit in the 7.625. Hopefully someone can confirm. Last time I bought new clutches for a salvage yard posi it was $90. Lots cheaper than a new posi. 28 spline axles with a support cover & a 7.625 will get the job done for your et/mph as long as you don't throw in a transbrake & slicks. Hey Kube I used to see you over at Oldspower. You know disc brakes on the back look cool but unless you are on them repeatedly like when doing a short curvy closed course they don't help anything. It takes big brakes up front to stop you quicker.

Edit Hey you need to put some pics of that bad boy in your photo section. That equals 13.5 @ 102 in the quarter. Thats not crazy fun yet, get that thing in the 12s then upgrade the fronts to slow you down. LOL  Just have fun. Glad to see you here.

i got all the 2wd blazer brake parts painted up and ready to go on 😀

i would be faster then 8.6. It turned out my valve spring where to week and I was hitting a wall at 5K engine would even start to slow down at 4.5K so I shud have some fun track time this year with he new springs installed.
