7.5 took a dump.. 9 inch on the way!!

Well it didnt last long, but i wasnt expecting too.

I was at the track last wensday and on my third pass i broke my axle again...(End of this video shows it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bwrShPNH02M)

here is some pictures of it and the first one i broke, they broke in the exact same spot!

So this time im doing it right and i orderd a 9 inch.I had to sell my other car to get it, but i think it will be worth it. I orderd it monday. it is a direct bolt in for a g body and its complete, it has 11 inch drums, mosier axles, a Strange nodular iron 3rd member housing, 3.89 gears and a Detroit Locker. i think this one should hold up

Ill get some pictures up of the 9 inch as soon as it comes in.

That really sucks. I am assuming the car had a posi unit. If so, would you be willing to sell it if it is still useable?

yeah it does stink that it happened, but i knew it would.

It actually had a Mini spool in it, but i do plan on puttingthe whole rear up for sale. i was going to just replace the axle. and put it for sale. I just rebiult the whole thing, it has new bearings, brand new backing plates, wheel cylinders hardware, and 3.73s with the mini spool. i already went through it and everything checked out good, only thing damaged was one axle seal, that i already replaced.

Never mind. Im not lookin for a spool, its goin to be on the street most of the time.
