700R4 2-4 Servo

Hey fellas,
I was installing a transgo shift kit in a 700 R4. I took out the 2-4 servo and now can't get it to fit back so that the metal snap ring is secure. Is there something internal with the bands which isn't allowing the 2-4servo go back in?

shouldn't be, it is a tight fit though
