Im running a 700r4 behind a 383 chevy in an elcamino. I have a 750 edelbrock on it. Can someone please tell me how to get my tv cable to be correct. I can drive the car now, but if i nail it the cable pops out and shifts really fast. Like from a stop light i will be in fourth by 40 miles an hour. The reason for the cable popping is that i do not have the correct bracket and i have it rigged now to where the tv cable is being pulled diagonally instead of straight on. I understand that i need the correct bracket but i have had no luck at all. Someone please help........

have you beefed up your transmission any kind of way? if so what have you done to it?

Well my setup is on a holley carb, but yea I'll snap a pic or two 2mrw. I only did a few things to beef up my 700. Granted mine is on a mildly setup 350. I upgraded the sunshell, input sprag, corvette stlye servo & governor, hardened pump rings, shift kit, trans cooler and according torque converter.

Like 84Cutspreme, Mine is also a Holley carb. But you'll get the idea.....I bought my geometry corrector and linkage bracket from Jegs, used the Jegs brand as they are the same as TCI only cheaper, and had them to my door for like $50.00. You will be glad you got them. Hope this helps you out 8) .........

I used the Edelbrock 8031 bracket along with a Summit geometry corrector kit. The bracket is adjustable and works awesome. BTW i am running a 2004r and Edelbrock 1405 carb. Here is a pic:
