Are 78-80 Olds Cutlass Supreme interior parts compatable with other Cutlass and or G body models. And what are the Sources of Supply other than the junk yards.
Needed are the A and B pillars, door panels. (There's more below the pic)

Located are head liner and sun visors vendors as well as Carpet vendors.

The NOS plastic parts are limited Im sure if not down right unavailable. Also I have a beautiful steering wheel but the plastic collar is nearly gone and butt ugly.

Lastly I have a limited number of working dash / guage lights.
My 6 pound, mondo huge, 1979 Olds Service Manual does not detail just how to get the dash apart as I hoped it would, unless Im missing something. The Haynes manual says to "remove the cluster pad assembly". Nice... How?

You should be able to find them at junkyards. You can get different colors and dye to match.

Interior parts are available new in the aftermarket but your better off finding some nicely used ones online here or eBay.
78-88 Cutlass, Regal, GP and Monte all used the same B-pillars you are looking for so they are in abundance.
As for the color, it's next to impossible to find 78-79 light blue trim that isn't dry rotted and chalked. The sun does this to light colored trim. Your best bet is to find some grey trim and spray it down with light blue paint, here is the factory paint code for 78-79 light blue: Ditzler #: Semi Gloss 14782
More codes here:

Give this code to any auto body paint supplier and make sure you tell them it's to dye interior plastic so they can add the proper adhesion promotor.

As for removing the gauge surround pad, you will have to remove the dash trim and start removing the screws.
The cluster will have to come out, make sure to unhook the speedo cable. This can be done by pressing down on the snap ring around the cable connection, its very simple to do...

Most of the interior parts could be used from a later G-body, with the exception of the rear sail panels (around the quarter window to the back window), they are specific to 78-80 cutlass. Had 79 that I used a later interior in (minus sails).

You don't need to pull the cluster to get the gauge surround pad out but it will need to come out if your removing the dash completely.

First you need to pop out the wood grain panels from around your headlight switch and center A/C ducts. I forget the total number of screws but I think there might be two behind the center ducts and one behind the headlight switch. They are pointed upwards.

Then there are four more if I remember correctly that run along the bottom of the dash pad.

Remove all of those and the surround will come out.

After its out then you can get to the screws that hold the gauge cluster in place.
