Is it old/cracked/no good?

I pulled one out of a LeMans at a junkyard having never done it, and it took me less than an hour, that was taking my time. There are screws up at the top where the defroster vents are, you'll be removing the cluster/radio trim obviously, and there are some up under the dash for bracing you'll need to remove iirc.

Drop or remove the steering column, plus remove any console, and unscrew the fuse panel at the firewall. That way all the wiring stays together. I like to have the seats out first too, so I can reach the lower bolts and grounds without rupturing myself.

OK seems like something is holding it towards the top and I don't see any more screws the ones at the defrost are out. Any ideas?

Is there a speakler grille in the center of the top dash? If so there's 2 more screws hiding under there.

there is a brace that is held in by the steering column bolts this can cause major problems if u put any prssure on the dash u will crack it thats what i do here in michigan i specialize in g body interiors and there r two small ones behind the dash facing the firewall that will mess things up good luck 😀
