Hey all,
Last night I made a deal with a lifetime friend to bring home his 78 Pontiac Grand Prix.
This is his first car and the car we worked on in high school.
It has lots of stuff done to it.
455 roller motor. I don't know the specifics since it was built so long ago, but I know it has a roller setup with larger port heads and aluminum intake plus headers.
TH400. Can't remember if it is manual valve body or not.
Ford 9" rear with detroit locker.
weld Drag lites
Complete Auto meter gauge setup.
The car is currently in primer with sealer under it. Has been like that since the mid 90s.
He parked the car in the late 90s and it hasn't started since. Good thing is, it has been sitting in his garage the entire time, so it isn't weathered.
I sold him a fuel system for the car back in 2004. He put it in the back of the car and forgot about it.
Plans are to replace fuel system, brake lines, flush coolant and all other fluids, clean carb, get the car running, lower a little bit and go out and enjoy the car.
I remember the sounds this car used to make. We compared it to a locomotive coming down the street.
I really can't wait to hear those sounds again.
So yeah that's why I'm here.
I have to source lowering spindles and coils. If any of you are aware what will fit, please chime in.
I'll start a build thread....er....resurrection thread with pictures soon.
