I like it! I've always been a fan of the faux woodgrain look. I guess it originated from my love of woody wagons.
Man, I would love to have that wagon. I like the '78 nose. That missing piece of trim might be a bear to find though. Unless of course he still has it.
And it's sporting snowflake wheels. Cool wagon.

I was looking at that too. Very tempting. My g/f would kill me if I bought another car. By looking at the door trim and barely visible fender emblems, I think it's actually a Grand Lemans. Too bad that aluminum door trim looks banged up. It's next to impossible to find it in good shape.

I had an '81 Malibu wagon and I kinda miss it. The original SUV's!

I think you're absolutely right that it's a Grand Lemans. I think according to the wheels, wood trim, etc. that it's more of a deluxe model. It probably has power windows, locks, tilt.. the whole deal.
I would be concerned about any rust issues, rear frame rails, doors, etc. It does look very nice though. I'm sure compared to a southern car, the interior wouldn't be all burned up and faded.
Looking a little closer to the lower left side. There might be more rust issues than the owner describes.

By the looks of those exterior rust spots, I bet the lower door seams are going too. Car enthusiasts' version of "little rust" and the common man's are two different animals

Im diggin it! Only problem is judging by the rust on the doors there might not be much floor.

Still looks cool though. Id be over it if it was closer.

If it were alittle closer, I'd probably consider it. However, you know I'd want to get underneath it to check it alot more closely.
I do like the way it looks, but again, I'd be concerned about any major rust issues. Those "rust spots" do not look too kosher to me.

If anyone is local to this wagon please go look at it and take some pictures of it, I called the guy last fall when it first appeared on craig's list, the missing trim comes with it, he took it off. the brakes need attention to be driven anywhere. I thought about it but I want to sell my 82 Caballero first
