Take it you mean this one: http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/cto/5087471897.html?

Body style is correct. Grill is correct. Per my service manual, the shifter boot and bezel is correct and 4-speed cars came with 305s, which the seller claims is equipped. Trans should be stamped S4, car should have option code MM4. BTW, MM5 denoted 5-speed manual transmissions! But those only came with 4 and 6 cylinders and the itty bitty 260 v-8. I'd buy it at that price if I didn't already have a car.

If this were close it'd already be in my driveway. 😡😡😡😡

I had a real oddball, a 1976 Pontiac LeMans Sport Coupe with the 260 Olds and BW T50 5spd, supposedly one of 19 built. It was the only year Pontiac only offered it on the A body. It was much more common of Oldsmobiles.

That would definitely be a good score for someone...like me. I always liked that body style, and having a factory 4-spd with a 305 is a plus. Too bad it's on the wrong coast.

I did see one several years back on Ebay. It had the 260 V-8 with a 5-spd. I don't recall if it was a 442 model or not.

Its also on eBay right now. http://www.ebay.com/itm/271926690756 Ends tonight ~6:20pm central. Right now sitting at $2200... If I didn't have other things that needed doing, I'd have that puppy transported down here. I'm still slightly considering it. "What if... hm... you know...."

Those are affectionately referred to as the "Buttless Cutlass". In 1978 that was the only Cutlass body style used for the 442. I like the white with blue stripe paint scheme better.
