78 Buick regal. Harmonic balancer. Doesn’t fit does any one know what size I need. Left is original.

I believe it’s a 3.8 but heard they swap to a 3.2

That's Buick 3.8. Notice oil pump and filter location passenger side, fuel pump on driver's side, water pump similar to Pontiac.

What is 8th digit of vin. You can also go to O'Reilly Auto parts web page and put in full vin, this will tell you engine you have.

It looks like you have the balancer from the Chevy 305. Too many times parts counter person will mix up 5.0 Liter with 307 (Olds) or 305 (Chevy). It happens a lot.

The engine was supposedly replaced with another. But from what your saying it’s a 3.8 and that’s what I believe but the harmonic balancer I order doesn’t fit this one.

If that is it on the right, then the one they gave you is for small block Chevy. It will never fit.

Try these folks. Rock auto and the local parts store do not have the right balancer for the 231.
