79 bumper

hey guys, big time noob here to posting- not new to wrenching, hotrodding- very new to Gbodys though (so far this thing has blown me away by the way- way to be GM)
anyway- question: anyone know where a guy in Central Massachusetts might be able to find a clean rear bumper for a 79 Cutlass Calais? also- anyone aware of someone making replacement vinyl seat covers? or someone who has a set of clean driver quality buckets (black)

just stabbing in the dark- any info much appreciated

Hey, not a problem. For the bumper, check local junkyrads for a 78-80 Cutlass bumper or place an add up in the wanted section, it's not Calais specific or anything. Yes, you can get replacement vinyl seat covers, but they aren't cheap. I can't afford 'em anyways. I'll send you the link though. I need one vinyl seat cover that's pretty good if you plan to get new ones and one of yours is still ok, I may be interested in it at a good price.

thanks for the seat cover lead! much obliged- i hadn't been able to find vinyl ones anywhere. I have an upholstery guy thats done a bunch of cars for me- including making covers, so I'm going to see what he can do for me- its a damn shame because 3 out of 4 of the seats are day 1 mint- id hate to buy a whole set just to recover the driver seat- but we shall see!
search is on for the bumper- so if anyone has one let me know, in the meantime ill start scraping the yards =)

Yep no problem. I'm in the same boat as u. 3 are mint.
