Currently have 200c trans and want to switch to th350 am I going to have to get a new crossmember I have heard different thingshave also heard the moter mounts for 260 v8 olds will work on sbc just need to put in different holes on frame true or false??

Trans crossmember is the same for the THM-200 and the TH-350, so you're fine there unless you want clearance for true dual exhaust.

False. Motor mounts are completely different between Olds and Chevy.

mounts are the same for ALL Olds engines though .... just thought you'd like to know!

Thanks ....I do want true duels but the shop said no new crossmamber that they would somehow work around it.......$280 from headers back 380 for flowmasters.....what should I do?

Most likely they will either run the exhaust like the 442's and MCSS's had them, in which it's just like a fake dual exit exhaust, or they will modify the original crossmember. I have a friend that took the stock crossmember and put it in a press and pressed it down on the driver side to clear the exhaust. I'm a fan of the Pypes kit myself.

you can modify the factory X-member or companies like Gforce do make brand new dual hump Xmembers for the th350 in a G-bodies!

anyone have any pics of a modified cross member? would it be a better idea to modify it in the car or out of the car? Like cut it and tack it so its true to fit then pull it then weld it?

Can't you just run both pipes to the passenger side?

You can, but it both complicates the plumbing (read: adds cost) and increases restriction with the additional bends. It also lowers ground clearance since you have to pass under the driveshaft.
