8.5 inch Rear End Identification

Does anyone know how to identify an 8.5 inch rear end from a grand national or 442 by just looking at the rear end? I'm looking at buying a parts cutlass that someone supposedly put an 8.5 inch limited sip rear end in it.

IIRC its stamped on the passenger side axle.

Looking at the rearend from under the rear of the car, the 7.5" will have two fang like points, one on each side of the housing. The 8.5" will have a squared notch sticking down on the left side.
