I have a posi unit out of a 1978 Buick LeSabre. 10 bolt, 30 spline pinion, casting number on casing is 410409N. No "C" clips, the axles bolted to the ends of the differential. The guy that replaced the ring and pinion 10-12 years ago said he thought he remembered it was a 7.5", but it looks to me like a 8.5". It is hard to measure with the ring gear installed. I plan on selling it once I figure out exactly what it is. It has a Richmond 3.90 ring and pinion.

PICS!!!! inside and out please.

with pics of the housing, center section of the housing, and carrier/gear assembly we can help figure out what axle it is. you'll also need pics to sell it.
