81 el Camino 5.3 swap

I'm new to this swap and I ran into a few questions while trying to find a parts truck
1. Are the computers from a 4x4 and a rwd truck the same
2. What years work best for the swap
Any input is appreciated and I'm shure I'll run into more questions down the line

try and find a 5.3 from 05-07. The gen IV motors are the better ones to work with
