i juss picked up some tail lights for my ride cuz mine were cracked. they look okay but they are kinda hazy on the lens. is there any way you guys know about to restore the lenses?? i was thinking steel wool or something. please help

Use some fine rubbing compound on a rag. Like 3M Perfect-it or Finess-it. You'll find that alot of that haziness comes right off. Then use a good vinyl protectorant...not Armor-All.

http://www.lexol.com/Category_vinylex.aspx They make excellent products and Vinylex works great on plastic, plastic gauge windows, etc.

Steel wool will HEAVILY scratch the lens. Don't use it.

They have special polishing wheels and compounds for use with plastic, but extreme care is still necessary.

I usually just give them a good hand polishing with some buffing glaze and a clean terry-cloth towel.

Eastwood's Aluma-Blast spray paint is a good match for the outer edge. Mask carefully.

thanks ill try that. i have some turtle wax rubbing compound that ill try. i thought the steel wool would be too much but wasnt sure. what about water sanding with like 2500 grit

2500 grit will be fine...i did my wifes headlights with 2000 grit sand paper and finished it off with turtle wax
