Hello all, Thanks for looking at my post. I don't know much about the g body, Ill be learning a lot during my change over.

I need some assistance on a few items.

How do I determine what motor mounts I need to purchase to install a 350 sbc," 010 block" if that matters in my 1982 buick regal. it currently has a v6 4.1 252 in it now. Will I half to drill new holes to install the new mounts. Any suggestions on the trans I should use that can possibly mount to the current trans mount. I have read the the th350 will interchange is that true ??? Any other suggestions that could be helpful I would be thankful for your assistance.

This was my dad's car, they purchased it new. I have it for about 10 years now - I gave it to my son, who was going to upgrade the engine, He has moved now with no place to store car. so I'm taking it back over and looking to put the chevy 350 in it, but I know very little about what works and interchanges with what ... Thanks again for looking at my post ...

Everything you need for this swap is all factory produced, all bolt-on, and very straight forward. I did the swap on an '80 Cutlass. The engine frame mounts were purchased new. I checked in the boneyard for a g-body with small block chevy setup. That proved to be the biggest help of all. Finding a small block chevy equipped g-body in the boneyard is fairly easy. Take note of the engine mount placement on the frame and begin tooling.

This swap has been done thousands of times, however, if you really want something different, consider trading the SBC for a Buick 455. I believe the Buick swap is easier than the SBC swap.

Good Luck!

I thought that was just with the 3.8 Buick V6. Who made the 4.1 V6?

Well that's nifty. I learned something today.

I always wanted pur v8 in mine but changing everything over, these frames not easy find anymore. I go the yard 10 years ago yard had row of them. I've had mine 15 years I took out the original 3.8 put in another 3.8 crate motor I got new at the time. I had the orig transmission rebuilt though. Should had the original motor rebuilt. I love these cars

I've got an 82 with a Chevy 350/TH350 combo that was originally a v-6. I bought it that way so I can't give any info on mounts or anything but I can supply pics of my setup if that would help...

Buick made the 4.1 for just a couple of years I swapped my 4.1 out for a olds 307 but I will never sell that Buick motor it's Buick history and rare

Know you won't have to drill any holes I did a similar swap with my regal on your swap you will have to get frame mounts for a 350 and motor mounts
